About Genesis Preparatory School
Genesis Preparatory School serves students from Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) through 8th grade. We have been educating Pasco County families since 1977.
Our campus is located at 8100 Mitchell Ranch Road, New Port Richey, FL 34655. We are an independent private school serving families across Pasco County and the surrounding region.
Yes. Genesis Preparatory School is fully accredited by the Association of Independent Schools of Florida (AISF) and APPLE Accreditation. Learn more about our accreditation.
No. Genesis Preparatory School is an independent, secular private school with no religious affiliation. We welcome families from every background and belief, and our curriculum and community are built around academic excellence and character education rather than religious instruction.
Application Process
The admissions process has three steps: inquire, tour, and apply. Families begin by submitting an inquiry form or calling our admissions office, then schedule a campus tour, and finally complete the formal application. See the full step-by-step process.
We offer rolling admissions throughout the year, but we recommend applying as early as possible to secure your child's spot. Priority consideration is given to families who complete their screening by February 1.
Yes, a non-refundable application fee is required to begin the process. Please see our Tuition & Financial Aid page for current fee amounts.
Yes, when space is available we accept new students throughout the school year. Please contact our admissions office to inquire about current openings in your child's grade.
Tuition & Scholarships
Genesis Preparatory School participates in Florida's scholarship programs administered by Step Up For Students, including FES-EO and FTC. Eligibility requirements and award amounts are determined by Step Up For Students. We also accept the VPK voucher for our Pre-Kindergarten program.
Yes. Families may pay tuition in full or enroll in a 10-month payment plan administered through FACTS. Discounts may be available for families paying in full by the early-payment deadline.
Yes. Families with multiple children enrolled receive a sibling discount. Please see our Tuition & Financial Aid page for current details.
Academics & Student Life
Small class sizes are central to who we are. Our teachers know every student by name, by interest, and by what makes them light up. Specific class size targets vary by grade level. We are happy to share current numbers during your campus tour.
The school day balances core academics with specials such as art, music, physical education, and time for play and connection. Pre-K and elementary students follow developmentally appropriate schedules, while middle school students rotate through subject-specific classes with content-area teachers.

Our 8th grade graduates go on to a wide range of public, private, and charter high schools across Pasco County and the broader region. We work closely with families during the placement process to support the transition to the high school of their choice.
